A girl in Liverpool

You’ve probably already read the articles about Liverpool from Michal. But how can a girl spend her day in this lovely city? Of course, there are numerous shopping opportunities, you can get fashion much cheaper than in Prague. But it is not only about shopping here.

If you are lucky enough to catch good weather, take a walk around Albert Dock. The inner catwalk offers spectacular views of the typical architecture while providing a shield from the wind. There are a few cafes and restaurants with touristy prices, some souvenir shops but most significantly a great Tate museum which I highly recommend visiting (and I am not a big museum fan).

Literally next door, in a beautiful modern building, is the Museum of Liverpool, which shows all you need to know about the city in a really interesting way, and for free. For firstcomers, the Beatles museum at the other end of the Albert Dock is a must.

And what about the shopping? There are two or three main shopping streets just across the street from Albert Dock, where you can easily spend the weekend. From John Lewis and Debenhams, through Zara, Victoria Secret, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, New Look and Topshop, to T K Maxx and Primark. Oh and did I mention the shoes? Jones Bootmaker is my fave, but you have also Deichmann, Schuh and many many more. When you have enough bags, head to one of the restaurants up the stairs from John Lewis to relax with a view of a nice park and the docks.
